FrightProps Catalog Cover 2013!

I’m working on the amazing FrightProps catalog cover again this year.
I had tons of fun working with them last year, so I was super happy when they asked me to do it again. (Check out last year’s cover HERE!)

Here’s my process so far.

Initial sketch (about 3″x4″).

Marker drawing for blocking. (around 12″x14″)

Pencils so far. (around 12″x14″)

Stay tuned for more steps to come.

Some people don’t know this about me, but I LOVE boxing. It’s the only sport I follow, and I also train at an amazing gym here in Minneapolis. For a long time I’ve wanted to start doing some boxing related comics and paintings, and last night I finally got to work. I’ll be posting some boxing comics here soon, in between all of the other projects I’m already working on, you get the drill.

Drawing Dark Shadows 2

So like I said in a previous post, I’m watching Dark Shadows on Netflix and as you can see it’s making me want to DRAW whenever it’s on. Just as Barnabus Collins strives to quench his eternal lust for crimson lifeblood, I cannot resist the swirling pools of inky abyss flowing on paper. Here’s the second installment.
