I’ve put the Pinewood Derby car up for sale on Etsy. It’s pretty cheap, so grab it if you want it.

The always awesome Sarah Morean did this mini documentary about 24HOUR COMIC DAY for the Daily Crosshatch. Lucky for you it features interview segments from none other than Brett VonSchlosser and yours truly.

I placed 3rd in last Saturday’s Pink Hobo Pinewood Derby race, which was pretty cool for me. The race was a lot of fun and very competitive. Puny‘s own Shad Petosky took 2nd place, while the the first place trophy was taken by 9yr old Peter “Speeder” Wallace, who submitted his actual Boy Scout Pine Wood Derby championship winning car. Shad’s wife Anna took the Best in Show Trophy for her giraffe car.

I also submitted a second, last minute entry to the competition that I made for Shad’s 34th birthday on Friday. If you don’t know Shad, this looks exactly like him, complete with bulging occuloids. It did pretty good in the race, it made it to the finals, but alas, it didn’t place.

Hey check out my finalized Pinewood Derby car for this Saturday’s Pink Hobo Pinewood Derby art car show and race extravaganza!

Here’s the guide I’m using to paint my pinewood derby car. I should be posting the real thing tomorrow.

My entry for the PINK HOBO Pinewood Derby Art Car show/race is getting closer to completion.

I think one more night of sanding/shaping then I believe it will be painting time.
With the deadline approaching as fast as a little wooden car racing down a declining track, I’ve renewed my vigor and enthusiasm to finish my Pinewood Derby car. Here’s the progress. More to come tomorrow, and every day until it’s done.

Anders Nilsen has organized an amazing EBAY AUCTION (here’s a description from Ebay), with the proceeds from this auction going to support efforts to push Congress to pass Universal Health Care with a Public Option. The auction features tons of artwork from such wonderful people as Anders Nilsen, Jeffery Brown, Chris Ware, Ivan Burnetti, Lynda Barry, Jordan Crane and many many more.
Take a gander. I know what I GOT MY OCCULOIDS FIXED ON!
While everybody else in the universe was at the San Diego Comic Con a few weeks ago, Buddy and I saw this whistlepig chilling on ledge.
